AMERICA:
United States: December 22th to January 5th
Chile: December 25th to January 4th
Mexico: December 22th to January 5th
Brazil: Most holidays during December 8th to January 4th; December 24th, 25th, 31st, and January 1st will be in holiday. Some companies will be in holiday from December 21th to January 3th
Canada: December 24th to December 28th, actually lasting to January 4th
Bolivia:December 21th to January 4th

EUROPE:
United Kingdom: December 24th to January 5th
Spain: December 23th to January 6th. Regulation is only the half day on December 24th, and all day on December 25th/December 31st/January 1st. However, one week holiday at least available from December 20th to December 27th. Some companies will be in holiday from December 24th to December 28th, and get back to work on December 29th, and then has a holiday from December 30th to January 7th.
Germany: Holiday begins from December 24th afternoon to December 26th, and December 29th to January 2th. Some companies has a holiday from December 20th to December 29th. January 1st to 4th is the Christmas and New Year Holiday.
Greece: December 24th to December 25th.
Austria: December 22th to January 6th.
Italy: December 18th to January 4th.
Slovenia: December 21st to January 5th
Russia: Orthodox Holiday, January 1st to 10th, most companies will be in holiday from December 22th
Sweden: December 23th to January 9th
Poland: December 24th to January 4th
Hungary & Slovakia: December 22th to January 4th, two weeks

Indonesia: December 24th to January 4th
Nigeria: Holiday from December 23th, lasting two weeks.
Azerbaijan: December 31st to January 5th
Uzbekistan: December 31st to January 10th
South Africa: December 18th to January 12th
Malaysia: December 25th to January 4th
Australia: December 18th to February of next year, together with summer vacation, many people go to trip. Christmas Holiday is December 23th to January 7th.
Japan: Christmas is not the statutory holiday. Together with students vacation in winter season, coincidentally, December 23, which is close to Christmas, is the national holiday of the Emperor’s birth day. People also accept the Christmas to celebrate in the same period, but the New Year is a more important festival. New Year’s holiday from December 28th to January 4th.
New Zealand: December 18th to the end of January or the beginning of February, together with summer holiday, many people have a trip during that period. The Christmas holiday is December 20th to January 7th
South Korea: December 25th
Thailand: December 30th to January 4th

India: Day off on December 25th, informal. Most education constitution with the Christmas Holiday, begins in the first few days of Christmas Day and ends after New Year’s Day.
Philippine: with the longest period of Christmas season in the world. Traditionally, the Christmas Holiday begins from December 16th, and ends in the first weekend in January.

Arabic countries like Saudi Arabic, UAE, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Oman, Sudan, Somalia, Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, Djibouti, Libya, Lebanon, Mauritania, Bahrain, etc.
